This is a new style itinerary that combines nature with culture staying outside the cities but strategically located nearby. These programs are lovely, affordable, using 3-4* hotels in nice locations creating a balance between culture and nature and free time. They are perfect for traveling during this time when people feel safer outside and in nature, and so we are sure to include only easy walking for max 3 hours at a time. These small group programs include cultural and gastronomic experiences balancing them with nature, villages, and the countryside - avoiding crowds.

(3 Nights)

Day 4: Caminito del Rey – Spectacular Hike

Depart for a full day excursion ending in Gaitanes Natural Park. The route is 6 miles long and approximately 3 hours of pure enjoyment in a unique natural environment. Look for the Golden eagle, Spanish ibex, or foxes that live in the area.

Day 5: Málaga

After a brief panoramic drive, continue on foot into the Old Quarter, starting with a visit to the Picasso Museum. Pass Picasso’s birth home and Museum. Then, pass Picasso’s birth home and continue to the Alcazaba, a restored Moorish fortification dating from the 8th century. Next to the Alcazar visit the ruins of a Roman amphitheater from the 2nd century. After lunch free time in Málaga for shopping or visit another monument. After an early tapas dinner in Málaga; return to the hotel.

Day 6: Alpujarras & Lecrin Valley (Granada)

Depart for the Alpujarras Mountains and the region of Granada. Guided olive oil tasting followed by lunch in the Lecrin Valley. (4 Nights)

Day 7: Alpujarras

Full day experience in Alpujarras, a natural and historical region of Andalusía, a hidden corner of Spain which shows rural life as it was lived for centuries. The region lies on the snow-capped Sierra Nevada and adjacent valley. In the whitewashed, steep mountain villages shop for local crafts and pottery.

Continue with a short hike between Capileira and Bubión villages and end with a lunch at a typical bar of the area. After lunch, time permitting, pass by other Alpujarras villages before transferring back to the hotel. Farewell dinner and private flamenco show performed by a local gypsy family.
