Day 1: U.S. to Tokyo, Japan

Depart the U.S. on an overnight flight to Japan, beginning your journey into the country’s rich world of art, architecture, and tradition.

Day 2: Welcome to Tokyo

Arrive in Tokyo and transfer to your hotel. Take time to relax and settle in before gathering this evening for a welcome dinner and program orientation.

Day 3: Tokyo Art & Contemporary Design

Begin your exploration of Japan’s capital with visits highlighting the harmony of traditional aesthetics and modern creativity. Discover museum collections, tranquil gardens, and Tokyo’s celebrated architecture and design districts.

Day 4: Tokyo Galleries & Cultural Perspectives

Continue discovering Tokyo through curated art experiences, contemporary collections, and guided city touring that reveals the many layers of this dynamic metropolis.

Day 5: Tokyo to Hakone

Travel by train to Hakone, a scenic mountain region known for natural beauty and artistic heritage. Visit the renowned Open-Air Museum before enjoying a traditional Ryokan stay with Onsen hot spring baths.

Day 6: Hakone to Kyoto
