Natural History & Botanical
Royal Adventures offers a unique variety of natural history programming focusing on diverse landscapes, unusual wildlife, and several botanical and entomological wonders. Together, we’ll journey through rainforests and high deserts to gaze at snow-swept mountaintops, hidden waterfalls, and legendary rivers. We’ll encounter up close the Resplendent Quetzal, colonies of marine iguanas, three-toed sloths, koala bears, pink dolphins, cassowaries, guanacos, and the dazzling miniature frogs that lurk like hidden gems in the foliage of jungles. For those interested in botany, we have abundant experience designing botanical programs that explore exotic plant species worldwide. Our botanical tour options include visits to public and private gardens, homes, and varied landscapes to discover regional flora. For entomologists, we have itineraries that include the Monarch Butterflies in the highlands of Mexico or the magnificent Morpho Butterflies of Costa Rica, among others. Repeat clients include the California Academy of Sciences, Highlands Biological Station, Audubon groups, several zoos, and universities.

Naturalist Guides
We take great care in selecting naturalist guides who can spot, identify and share with passengers the flora and fauna of the destination. Our guides know the habitat and terrain and place passengers in strategic areas in which they have the most likelihood of seeing wildlife and often rare species.
Customized Itineraries
Our hand-crafted natural history tours venture into the locations your organization is doing research. We work with your organization as a partner to design an itinerary that highlights those areas that are important for your institution. We can assist you to obtain special access to natural areas and research projects. We coordinate meetings with local scientists and naturalists. In addition, our special guests can provide insights both into the successes and challenges of a national park or protected habitat.
High Donor Groups
Royal Adventures designs custom travel programs for Board of Directors and high donor groups for conservation organizations and natural history museums. We provide the smooth handling of logistics and have a staff of experienced tour managers and tour directors to make sure your program runs smoothly and efficiently.
Insurance
For your peace of mind, Royal Adventures is fully insured. We have $5 million dollars in errors and omission insurance and can name your institution as an additional insured. We offer trip cancellation insurance to passengers and on request, can offer or provide evacuation insurance to all your participants. All passenger funds are deposited into a trust account registered with the California Attorney General’s office.
